Fiinnio Verona Baltlwin who was born and raised to womanhood in Olyinpiiv ami who bays shu is a cuuani of E. J. Baldwin of Sim Francisco, luts her uamo connected with another sensation that will prove as startling as that which occurred, when, in hob revenge, alio shot "Lucky" Baldwin in his hotol some years ago. The story is, according to thu Sai\ Francisco papers, that she was married to Dr. 'A. T. Auauis of Coulterville, Mariposa county, under circumstances that may oause the arrest of several parties fur criminal con-spiraoy. Tlio date of the marriage is not given.

One day she suggested that they take n stroll as a means of getting away from where others would hear and sue his words and actions as a lover. It appears that the stroll turned out to be a long tramp, for late ill the afternoon they found that they were lost, with no hope of gutting back to camp that night. They had to stay on a hillside all night. The weather was cold, but he built a tiro and wrapped her in his overcoat. She refused tho latter, because lie was suffering from consumption. On his insisting, she finally took it. The couple returned to camp early the next morning. Unpleasant comments were indulged in by tho ladies of the party about Verona, and she was made to foci that no good excuse could b given about vfliy she was away from the camp that night. The party lost but little time after this event in returning to Coulterville, and tho story of Venn a's night- in the woods was soon tho choice morsel of gossip in the town.

Dr. Adams on reaching home became very sick, and it is stated that a friend of his, who was also his partner, suggested to her that as ahe was partly to blame for his sickness she should go and nurse him. Ho is said to have later urged her to marry Dr. Adams.
